My intuition is that it will take very little, the flutter of one butterfly passing or even less, for the awakening to be fully realized. Maybe it is already.

The Mind is not Available

My intuition is that it will take very little, the flutter of one butterfly passing or even less, for the awakening to be fully realized. Maybe it is already.

Dear Oshana,

Where to begin? With gratitude, definitely. Thank you for taking the trouble to see me last Friday.

And then? Alas, the mind is not available, does not want to calculate or make an inventory, is not cooperating with my fingers to talk to you. (So I'll go for lunch!!)

In any case you know where I am at. After all you know exactly the path you nudged me on last Friday. I have a picture of a beautiful autumn day speaking with someone who reminds me of my friend S... I know that everything has changed radically and yet there is a familiarity and comfort more akin to a sense of "business as usual".

There is also a clarity, consciousness playing at consciousness, and a confident knowing. Thoughts arise and recede; feelings and emotions -some quite strong - arise as usual but somehow there is time to observe them and let them go, as I think: "That's interesting...so that's how I react"."mmmmm".interesting.... Everything becomes the subject of benign observation.

It seems that very few idle thoughts (i.e thoughts which are not connected with the task at hand) are allowed to arise unnoticed. Perhaps, there will be less and less of these as this body/mind exhausts the bag of mind tricks!

I think that you created an opening to allow the "teaching" to enter. It is now nesting very comfortably like a lotus, casting light on all thoughts as they gently make their way to and fro.

My intuition is that it will take very little, the flutter of one butterfly passing or even less, for the awakening to be fully realized. Maybe it is already.

I am reading Nisargadatta and picked the following sentence:

Wisdom tells me I'm Nothing. Love tells me I'm Everything. Between the two my life flows.

Nisargadatta Maharaj

With love

M'.
