Always Out of Control

[Questioner] I got this quote and don't really understand it, can you give me your take on it?

FATE, FREE-WILL AND BEYOND:

Free-will and destiny are ever constant. Destiny is the result of past action; it concerns the body. Free-will and destiny last as long as the body lasts.

My understanding of it would be that we form our lives, which would mean our free will determines our destiny? That means there is a direct correlation between the two. In other words: I carry my life in my hands. In an absolute sense would that mean: I am God. I am the universe.

[Oshana] I think the quote is too pithy. Other quotes like the one I sent to egroups indicate that one does not choose one's destiny.

This 'freewill issue' came up in a Meeting last night. People fight about it, possibly because they fear we really have little or no control over life. But what does it matter? Who is it a problem for?

You may be God and the Whole of Creation. But that doesn't mean that you can Control it.
